New Years Eve at the Marcel at Gramercy - a New York City Boutique Hotel

New Years Eve 2008 Happy Continued Holidays Everyone !!! It's the Day after Christmas, but the Holiday Season is still in high gear. Especially, at least, for me. Today, December 26th falls on Friday, obviously, and it pads a great long weekend. Before you know it next week on Wednesday night December 31st, New Years Eve will be upon us. I get a lot of mixed feelings about New Years Eve from people. To some I've heard it called "Amateur Night" and categorized like July 4th and the night before Thanksgiving. That is, the night when the young and those that have yet to be disenfranchised by life are numb enough to weather the storm of crowds, high prices and tons of drunk idiots. To other's, they may not go out to the big parties, but still plan something to do to usher in the holiday. Then to another group, whether for the first time, or a long standing tradition, they venture out to the "hot spots" where ringing in the New Year is an event. You all know the places, Las Vegas, New York City, New Orleans. Obviously, New York City and the dropping of the Ball in Times Square is almost synonymous with New Years Eve as Santa Clause is with Christmas.

The Marcel at Gramercy Hotel New York City Well if you had plans on heading to the Big Apple for New Years Eve, and like many of us just didn't find the time to make arrangements I might be of some assistance. Might I add this was not easy. After digging around a little I found that the Marcel at Gramercy, a New York City boutique hotel, still has vacancies up through New Years Eve, with room rates at around $254 per night. First, the property has just had a major overhaul, so it's upgraded and newly designed. Second, the accommodations are included in a package that includes a $30 American Express Gift Card. This is a treasure of a find, especially at this late date. I'm sure that vacancies for rooms will not last for long so if you ever needed to make a move now is the time. Here is some additional information about the Marcel Hotel in New York City.

The New Year will be upon us any day. I wish all of you that read and follow my blog the best of new hopes, directions and dreams.

Award Winning Christmas Display a Must See at Gaylord Palms Hotel Orlando...

During this time of year it makes sense to take pause and recognize certain things. Perhaps a time to reflect on the past year for what is has been or maybe not have been for us. A time for family and tradition. Most assuredly, the Holiday season ushers in a time of festivity and happiness for most. As this blog deals with the hotels on many levels, wether it be a great discount, a new opening, an addition to an already phenomenal structure or anything else under the rainbow, there are also those properties that make the holiday season a part of there calendar year. That is, across this great country of ours the true world class properties make it a point to create works of art that capture the Holiday season.

One such property that has done so is the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center just outside of Orlando Florida in Kissimmee.  This exhibit is truly one of those special projects that has taken on a life of it's own over the years and has come to include some of the best architect minds in the world. Year after year, the Gaylord Palms commissions artists from as far as China to produce absolute works of art. Each year this team from the far east puts forth an incredible effort of spirit, soul and inspiration in creating an indoor spectacular of ice and art.  Coming in on it's Fifth Anniversary, the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center produces an extraordinary exhibit that includes over two million pounds of ice and becomes an interactive exhibit that visitors can enjoy for the holiday season even in the sunny state of Florida.

Past years have included incredible displays that offer visitors the opportunity to walk through and feel for themselves. One such display included a life sized ice sculpture of an authentic train. Other incredible displays have included life sized and detailed nativity scenes that glow with heart stopping crystal and light.

The display is formally known as ICE, and is an absolute must see if you find yourself in the Orlando Florida area for any reason. This years theme for 2008 will reflect Santa's Arctic Blast.

The exhibit will appear from November 17th 2008 through January 4th 2009. For more information about the Gaylord Palms Resort ICE exhibit check out this link

The Grand Del Mar San Diego..Serving Tea & Desserts Every Day for the Holidays

Every area of the country, if not the globe has a little nook and/or cranny to celebrate the holiday season their own way. You could even be in one part of town like New York City and find a whole other world of festivities on the other end of town that don't even seem like you're in the same city.

Well today's featured post is about the Grand Del Mar Resort in San Diego. Obviously keeping with the holiday theme I have something interesting to report about this hotel as it relates to Christmas. Well here it is if you can't wait any longer. The Grand Del Mar Resort San Diego is an upscale property. It has just about anything you could want in a hotel which, even better, is located in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Having started actually at th beginning of 2008 the Grand Del Mar Resort of San Diego has been doing an entire line of Culinary events. During the month of December, the hotel is holding an event each day from 6:30pm to 8:30pm where they feature exquisite Holiday Desserts. What's great about these events is the open nature. That is, guests get to actually mingle and talk with the chefs. It's much more informal, but don't let that make you think the quality is any less than what you could expect at any Five Star Resort Restaurant. What's more the event also offers classes during each session to learn how to make your own five star Holiday Treat. The menu includes great things such as tarts, cakes, an array of sweets, pastries and just about anything else you can think of that has sweet in it.

The Grand Del Mar Resort San Diego will continue this culinary series well past the holiday season into the end of January 2009. If you're looking for more information go to the link above to the official site of the hotel.

Cancun Vacation Packages..Where to Find Deals Also with Great Cancun Hotel Resorts...

There is little doubt that thinking about a vacation outside the country can be a little scary. The thought of traveling to a whole other world, outside the sanctitiy of the United States, especially in this day and age can be a pulse beating event. Yes, just the thought of it and your pulse beating faster is an event. That being said and I digress, one of the biggest fears I hear from would be international travelers is the accommodations. The basic question is, how much do I trust the informatin I'm getting.

Well I'm hear to offer a little bit of hope and also a true uncompromised or biased opnion. There are some great options and places to find information on the internet. Further I have a one recommendation of a hotel in Cancun that may have various packages associated with it. Now to the information.

First and foremost the question of accomodations is important. No one wants to go away live in real life the scenario that plays out in so many movie scripts...Traveling abroad and walking into a dive of a hotel. I'm here to offer this for your consideration.....The Riu Caribe Cancun Hotel. This hotel is an all-inclusive reort offering the best in a "away" from home vacation pacakge. You're going to find some great amenities that go along with your trip here. Things like a lagoon to swim in, bullfighting events and boating excursions. Average price per person over the next two weeks starting December 1st through December 15th 2008, about $270 to $310. Remember this is all inclusive with food and drink. Quite a deal.

Then there was a site that I work with a little with a fun mascot by the name of Travel Ape. You can find the web site at http://www.travelape.com. I saw a Cancun Vacation Deals section with incredible cancun vacation packages. What's more the packages offer extra premiums that are incredible and pricing for accommodations is about 30% of other vacation pacakges of similar value. The only thing is they do not offer transportation. Again, the pricing still is incredible. The deal I saw on that page at TravelApe was for $199 at the Laguna Suites Cancun for 3 Days and 2 Nights for several premiums.

Going further than that it doesn't hurt is using the official Visitors and Convention Bureau of the area. In this instance there exists the Cancun Convention and Vistiors Bureau. This web site has information and links to hotel bookings and Canun Vacation Packages. The prices aren't always great, but it's a safer bet then maybe going through an independent or unknown web site.

Cancun is a paradise on earth. With deals like this popping up, going south of the border down Mexico way, sounds like an outstanding idea.

Holiday Inn Golden Gateway San Francisco Hotel...

San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Absolutely magnificent. One of the city's neighborhoods Fisherman's Wharf is a must see while in the city. Which leads me to the subject of our next featured hotel, the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway San Francisco Hotel.

Located at 1500 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco, the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel is a perfect fit in the mold of the Holiday Inn brand. That is, quality, professionalism and an experienced player in the hotel market. Holiday Inn brings this to the San Francisco area. The hotel has been recently renovated for all of it's 26 floors.  All totaled there are 499 guest rooms that offer the standard in wireless high speed internet access. What's more the hotel itself has all the standards in great amenities such as an on site restaurant, bar and grille, an outdoor heated pool, on site parking garage and a complimentary fitness center. The best about this hotel is how centrally located to some of the best landmarks and areas of San Francisco, but at the same time not being in the the downtown area. The hotel is one mile away from Union Square, Chinatown, Nob Hill and Ghiradelli Square.

The official site of the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel is located at the link provided and you can find updated discount Holiday Inn Golden Gateway San Francisco Hotel Rates with this link to our site. The information also allows you to see some reviews of the hotel.

Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Los Angeles..Focus on Los Angeles..

I received an email the other day complaining about my focus on the east coast. To that I apologize and in response I give to you my featured hotel focus, the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza of Los Angeles. The hotel is located at 2025 Avenue of the Stars in Los Angeles and offers some of the premium amenities in the room and the property that you'd expect to find at a hotel of this caliber. The thing about this hotel is that it's so incredible and centrally located to all there is to do in Los Angeles. It's about a mile away from the famed Shops at Rodeo Drive and other great places like the Museum of Tolerance, Grauman's Chinese Theater and about 38 miles away from Disneyland.

The other thing I've noticed about the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel Los Angeles is that many of the third party hotel review sites and the consumers that have written up reviews for this hotel are all stellar. This is just a very good quality hotel.

Rates for this hotel in the up and coming week vary especially during the days coming close to the weekend. The average daily rates seem to be anywhere between $169 to about $220 per night depending on the type of room. You can check out Hyatt Regency Century Hotel Rates by checking out our site.

Yes, the west coast, as well as all of the coasts are equally incredible to visit. I do apologize for the remiss nature of my focus but this is all to change soon :)..Enjoy.

Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort...A Gem in Cancun

It's that time of year again. Where the cold places of the United States start getting...well colder. I'm one of those poor unfortunate souls that live in the North East part of the United States where the winters can get brutal. For some reason it seems like the cold is coming even sooner.

Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort All Inclusive Photo - CANCUN Well with all of that, visions of a getaway to a tropical paradis come to mind. That brings me to today's featured hotel, the Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort. I mean this place is as much of a vision of a paradise on earth as you can get. Bright blue waters, multiple swimming pools, posh hotel rooms and a golf course, tucked away in the ever warm area of Cancun. Shame of it for me is that the Moon Palace Resort is known for it's golf and I can't say I'm a huge fan of the game. That might change if I can get my way down for a little trip. Each guest room has a private balcony, a jacuzzi, while the property itself has an endlss number of amenities. These include, swimming pools, tennis courts, beach volley ball courts, basketball courts, climbing tower, disco area, and so much more.

Checking out for Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort Vacation Deals I happened across the following that Yahoo was presenting. Per night fees of $323 are now available. This is an incredible offer for a Cancun Mexico Vacation that is all inclusive.

Wild Wing Resort in Myrtle Beach Golf Package is Fantastic..

Every once in a while out of chaos comes innovation. Presently, and to no secret to anyone in the world, the economy is not in good shape. No doubt this situation ripples through the world of business and consumers a like. People are getting laid off, businesses are force to close, and the majority of the consumer market has most definitely taken steps to tighten their belts and significantly curb their spending. With that being said, no doubt the travel industry, from transportation to hotels are taking a huge hit. The point in all this that many have to keep in mind, however, is that reality is very much a function of perception. If we feel bad, scared or insecure, our actions reflect this. The point is, sure it doesn't make sense to spend frivolously, or not pay attention to the reality in front of us, but it also doesn't make sense to hide and cower. Life is not meant to be lived tentatively. The United States and the new world of free democracies, open societies and life embracing world order has shown that our world has evolved past this type of consciousness.

Well I'm sure you're all bored or maybe even awkwardly frightened by my philosophical rant above, but it does lead to something. Living life the best you can every day must be an imperative for all of us. To that end, making sure little things like being able to get away, taking a vacation, and stopping to smell the roses must be part of this agenda.

Well just like clock work, the innovators of capitalism have done it again. I happened across a site that is offering terrific vacation deals. One that caught my eye, being a man, was for a Myrtle Beach Golf Vacation Package. It offers a 4 day/ 3 night deal for $199. The deal includes  accommodations plus two days worth of complimentary rounds of golf !!!

I was blown away when I came across this deal. What's more the site I found the vacation package on has a bunch of great packages for other destinations.

The point is, don't lose hope and don't give up on living every day you can. Getting out, taking a trip and doing something fun doesn't have to bankrupt you. Deals are out there.

The Chelsea in Atlantic City...Chique Boutique Hotel Comes to Atlantic City...

Atlantic City New Jersey is no doubt not immune to the current economic downturn that has wrought the globe. What's more, for those of you that are familiar with Atlantic City, not only has the economic downturn hurt the market, but increasing competition from neighboring states, and legislation such as smoking bans have had tremendously bad effects.

The Chelsea Hotel Atlantic CityOk, you might ask, what is my point in all this. Well, earlier this year a new hotel opened up in Atlantic City called the Chelsea. It's located on Chelsea Avenue and the Boardwalk and with it's opening was a hope of heralding in a new ago to Atlantic City. One in which the notion of creating a destination resort that catered to more than just the casino market. I had an opportunity to visit the Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City and I really think it's a home run for the city. The idea behind the creation and development of this hotel was to add a unique accommodations offering in a market filled with gawdy casino hotels or worse, low class motels. The Chelsea Hotel brings with it an overt level of glamour and class and it comes through brightly. The property is diverse in it's offerings that include, but hardly are limited to pool side cabanas, lounges with finely appointed fireplaces, and two signature restaurants. The first, Chelsea Prime, specializes in, but of course, steaks. The dining area is elegant, but casual and the noticeable level of professionalism from all of the staff is evident. Next is Teplitzky's Restaurant, which offers diner style food, but also equally excellent in preparation. Teplitzky's also offers a hide away cocktail lounge and coffee shop.

The Chelsea also offers some great nightlife options for those of you who don't like the loud scene of casino clubs. Basically most of the action is located on the 5th Floor. There you'll find both restaurants, access to the pool but also so much more. Also located on the 5th Floor is the Terrace Lounge. The Terrace Lounge has entertainment managed by well known New York City entertainment promoter the Beatrice Inn. Next is the Bar. Yep, it's the name of a lounge and as the web site say, the name says it all. The view from this place is awesome. Next up on our tour is the Living Room. This place is basically a casual but elegant place to sit and relax. Last on our list is the Game Room. This is one place you've got to see. It's artful as it is fun. Again, in the spirit of simplicity combined with grace, the Game Room is a hip room with antique velvet walls, fireplace and most important, a pool table. But this is no ordinary pool table. This pool table is an art deco style that fits in with the theme of the entire property.

I could go on and on about the Chelsea Hotel Atlantic City, but to see it is to experience it. If you're making your way to Atlantic City any time soon, consider staying a night there, or at the very least make sure you take a night to visit. For Chelsea Hotel Reservation Rates check out this link.

Hotels Deals for Best Western Inn Miramar San Diego..

It seems like some of the best information and deals I've found on hotels as of late are coming from FareChaser. I get updated via Yahoo. Like clock work one has come in that really makes a great deal for those yearning for some warm weather.

For those of you needing a suggestion for a destination let me just say San Diego. San Diego California is a sun drenched location that is just about as beautiful in December as it is in June. With that suggestion I've come across a great nugget of a deal for San Diego hotels, its the Best Western Inn Miramar. This hotel is located in a great area of the metropolitan San Diego area, at 9310 Kearney Mesa Road. In terms of quality you're looking at a budget hotel at best. That being said, the hotel is loaded with some neat amenities such as a pool, free breakfast and gym area. What's more you can find yourself centrally located to many great area locations such as being about 14 miles away from the San Diego Sea World and 18 miles from the San Diego Zoo. What's more other local attractions such as great shopping, the Miramar Air Station, the San Diego Sports Arena and Qualcomm Stadium are all within 15 minutes of driving from the location. Go to the hot deals to find discounts on daily room rates about $93 a night. If you look at the reviews that FareChaser has by users you'll see for the quality hotel these reviews are pretty good. To find comparable rate information and other hotel information go to Best Western Inn Miramar hotel reservations at the page we've suggested. All the information can be used to compare information to really show the deal you'll be receiving.

Featured Hotels - Chicago Embassy Suites and Hooters Casino Hotel Las Vegas

There is no doubt that the combination of featured hotels I'm offering today are not quite thought about in terms of the same sentence. You know what they aren't. So how's that. I find sometimes that research and discussion doesn't often fit into neat packets of information, but what I did find out is in the course of the last week the two hotels in question, the Embassy Suites Downtown in Chicago and Hooters Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas are offering some great deals over the next week. So, my thought was, why not be a nice guy and provde this information to my beloved readers.

Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown Photo - CHICAGO ILOur first stop is the midwest to the Windy City of Chicago Illinois where we take a trip to the Embassy Suites Downtown Chicago. Located at 600 North State Street in Chicago, this hotel is fabulous. A true monument to the Embassy Suites brand. The deal for this hotel is unbelievable. FareChase is offering a deal for the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown at a discount of 72% off regualr rates with the average room rate at about $57 per night no lie. You can find this deal at this link and also a bunch of other great information. If you're looking to visit Chicago, it would be my opinion to get a trip in now before the cold really starts to make a dent in travel plans. Trust me the winds and cold that come off of the Great Lake abudding the city is startling and doesn't make for a fun trip. For more information about Embassy Suites Downtown Chicago Reservations go to the accompanying link.

Moving out to the desert we have our other featured hotel of the day, the Hooters Casino Hotel of Las Vegas. Now don't get me wrong, the Hooters Hotel Las Vegas is no Five Star hotel by any means. BY ANY MEANS !! The point is getting a great Las Vegas Vacation can be found at this fare saver program. I mean I have seen rates as low as $23 a night for stays at the Hooters Hotel. This is no lie. You can get yourself to Vegas now and stay there for $23 a night. That's quite a deal.

The holiday season is knocking at the door and for many the travel time to get away from family and obligations is dwindling away. Deals like this may not be around for long so it's worth looking into now.

Hotels and The 2008 World Series...

For some reason a few posts ago I took the time to lay out some choices for Major League Baseball's League Championship Series. That is for the American League and the National League. Branson Hotels - A Place in the Ozarks..

Caught somewhere between a Norman Rockwell painting and a Samuel Clemmons novel (better known as Mark Twain) lies an are of the United States that really is a not often thought of place to visit. The area is Branson Missouri. I think what really brings me to thinking about Branson is the vision of a small town fair, with the merry go round, and live performances. Well, if you must know Branson has about 50 or so live performance theaters in and around the city. The trick is finding great Branson hotels with great hotel rates. We happen to have two suggestions for hotels in Branson. One of course that caters to the high end crowd and the other suggestion for those that are looking for a nice clean place to stay.

Ok first for the budget option. This hotel is called the 1st Inn Gold. The 1st Inn Gold is located at 2719 West Highway 76 in Branson. The best way to define this hotel is basically for the traveler that really isn't looking to spend a lot of frills and luxuries but wants a nice clean hotel to stay. This hotel fits the bill. As it relates to the entertainment of the city of Bransom the 1st Inn Golf of Branson hotels is within walking distance to the Andy Williams theater, the White House and the Spirit of the Dance, to just name a few venues. Weekend rates for a couple if they were coming the 1st Inn Gold for this coming weeking of October 18th to the 20th can find rates at $69 a night. Of course this doesn't include taxes and other fees, but they really are nominal. For 1st Inn Gold hotel reservations the accompanying link can be found here.

To the high end of our discussion for hotels in Branson our conversation turns to the Chateau on the Lake in Branson. There is no doubt if you look at the accompanying link you'll see the marked difference between the hotel suggested above and this one. This is one very upscale hotel. This hotel, if one were to look at it from the lake, could almost be confused with a castle. Daunting, tall and royal in its pose, the Chateau on the Lake is just great. From great dining to the on site spa. If going to Branson and staying in accommodations of class is your choice than check out the Chateau on the Lake in Branson reservations page. I really think this is a great choice if you're looking to get away from the typical spot of the sunny shore or the ski lodge. Branson is no doubt good old fashioned down home and wholesome American, and something many of you may not have enjoyed.

Branson in the midst of Ozark Mountains is a perpetual action scene. The city has 52 live performance theatres, which has year round performances. The Silver Dollar City a world-class theme park, the Table Dock Lake Dinner cruise or a helicopter are just some of the few attractions. The Celebration City has 30 rides, the Ozark Wild Cat wooden roller coaster ride being a favorite. Other prominent shows include the Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show and the Showboat Branson Belle. The city has few wineries, where one can take a tour of the winery and learn the craft of winemaking.

More Deals for MLB Baseball Fans..

Yesterday we put up some suggestions for deals for hotels and suggestions for properties near the ball parks. Today's post are for those interested in the ALCS between the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays. Games One and Two are at Boston October 10th and 11th. Then the series goes to Florida October 13th and 14th.

In Boston probably your best choice at this late date is the Howard Johnson Fenway Park. I'll be open and honest, this is a bare bones property. The point is the rates are great and the hotel is within walking distance to Fenway Park. The rates for October 10th are $240, but bare in mind this is a weekend rate, and trust me, relative to Boston, this is a decent rate. What's more, this hotel still has availability. For October 11th rates the hotel is sold out. For Howard Johnson Fenway Park Hotel Reservations check out rates now.

In Tampa the Hampton Inn and Suites Tampa is the perfect choice. For October 13th rates are $104. For October 14th rates are $134. To make Hampton Inn and Suites Tampa Hotel Reservations check out the accompanying link.

If you really plan on getting to these games don't wait. These rooms will go fast.

Get Your Seats, and Hotel Rooms for the Upcoming MLB Championship Series..

Well the ALCS and the NLCS are getting ready to be in high gear. Fans of the Phillies, Dodgers, Rays and Sox are all clamoring to get these series started. No doubt the anticipation is hot. In the back of most minds is the economic situation and the fact that money is tight. To all the baseball faithfuls in the world this won't deter any of you. Getting a little help finding a great place to stay might be some help, however, and that's what we're here to find.

Let us begin with the deals in Philadelphia and Los Angeles. We're guaranteed 2 games in the city of Brotherly Love this coming Thursday and Friday, October 9th and 10th respectively. The series goes to the left coast for at least two more games starting October 12th and October 13th. Information about the Phillies vs. Dodgers in the 2008 NLCS can be found by clicking on the associated link.

There are two great options that we have for fans near Citizens Bank Park, host to games One and Two. The first is the Hampton Inn Philadelphia Airport, which aptly named is located right near the Philadelphia International Airport. Specifically the hotel is located at 8600 Bartram Avenue in Philadelphia and probably less than 5 miles from the park. What's better access to 295 is easy and makes the trip to the park very simple. Rates for the first night for one stay are $175. This comes with traditional and standard rooms, but with a hotel that offers a gym and pool. Oddly enough, if you were to get a room for the second game the price comes down to $119 for the night. Remember this doesn't include tax and other associated fees. To check out specific information click here for Hamton Inn Philadelphia Airport Hotel Reservations. For those of you looking for a little more upscale accommodations the Hyatt Regency Penn's Landing fits the bill. The hotel overlooks the river with beautiful accompanying bright lights. The incredible thing about rates here is that deals abound. With $209 being a great discount this just might be the perfect hotel to stay. Again, this is an upscale experience and this hotel is located much closer to the park. To make Hyatt Regency Penn's Landing Hotel Reservations click on the associate link.

Off to Los Angeles for games 3 and 4, well we have some great options there. The thing to remember is that Los Angeles is a huge area, so just going to a hotel in Los Angeles could put you over 30 minutes from the park. A great place to stay and always a safe bet are brand name hotels. Best Western never seems to disappoint. Specifically the Best Western Dragon Inn hits the nail on the head. The property is a half a mile from the Ball Bark and offers clean standard accommodations. The best thing are the rates. Room rates for the first night of play are at $80 !!! The second night of play isn't too much worse with options on rooms starting at $99 and going as high as $120. Check out rates for the Best Western Dragon Inn Hotel Reservations here.

Tomorrow we'll have complete information for rooms, accommodations and other information for the ALCS series and cities as we bring information for hotel rates in Boston and Tampa Bay.

Enjoy life all the same and get out to the ball game !!!

Opulence in Miami..The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club

The city of Miami is a bastion of fun, sun and play. Why not stay at the best hotel you can while visiting. Obvously the argument of what "Miami Hotel" is the best is very subjective. Well this is my blog and today I'll make the call. My feature spotlight hotel of the day is the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club. The property is located at 19999 West Country Club Drive in Miami Florida, of course. Here's a handy link to a map provided by google.  A link to the official site of the FairmontTurnberry Isle Resort and Club can be found at the link provided.

The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort And Club
This is flat out one incredible hotel. No if, ands or buts. No arguments on this either !!!! The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club had recently undergone a $150 Million renovation. The property is a destination and attraction in an of itself. Guests to The Fairmont Turnberry have it all at the fingertips. The skinny is very simple. Guests will find opulence in any of the 392 guest suites, have access to a state of the art spa and fitness center, can romp and play in three different pools, one of which even has a waterslide, have access to two great 18-hole Golf Courses, can find some of the best dining in the word and for the business traveler services that rival any convention center. As such, with so much to discuss, I'd like to break up these areas of interest into seperate discussions.

Obviously the hotel is a great place to start this discussion and I'm sure to most of you out there accommodations on where you're staying is probably one of the most paramount things you value on staying at a hotel.  And let's get this out of the way..This isn't just my opinion,  the official Zagat Hotel, Resort and Spa Guide bestowed on the distinction on the Fairmont Turnberry as the "Best in the South".  So my opinion on this place is just icing Darn it !!!. Like I said above, the hotel has 392 total rooms and suites. When I spoke with a worker there he gave me a "company" answer that the rooms are a mix of a classic Mediteranean decor with a modern flair. I guess that kind of gives the idea. Imagine being on the Mediterranean with the large windows and palm trees as a warm summer breeze passes buy. Big cushy beds and furntiture that is set in natural tones. Each guest enjoys a flat screen television for entertainment. Then the bathrooms !!! Whew!!! One of my favorite spaces in a guest suite of a high end hotel no doubt. The Farimont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club does not dissapoint. Glass enclosed showers and large sit in soaking tubs. Wow, relaxation at it's finest. Let's not forget though that this hotel is also a perfect fit for the business traveler. Each room offers spacious work desks and is of course equipped with the latest and greatest connections to the internet, not to mention three telephones each having dual line capability and also voice mail
service.

Reviews of Top Hotels in New York City and London England....

It would be hard to argue that three great cities in the world for travel are New York City and London Englan. As such I wanted to take little time to highlight the best hotels in these cities as I being a little turn towards reviews over the next few weeks. You can also find additional information about these cities utilizing the all too powerful Wikipdedia information source. Resepectively they are NewYork City Hotels and London England Hotels. You'll be sure to get a decent alternative view of the history and granduer of these hotels offered by Wikipedia.
That being said, however, I'm here to offer the information and reviews that we've accumulated for two top hotels of these cities.

Waldorf TowersWaldorf Towers. The hotel is located in the upscale area of Manhattan
at 100 East 50th Street. The big theme of the Waldorf Towers is that
each of the rooms are decorated with reproductions or actual antiques.
Many of these pieces that are used come from the orginal Waldorf
Astoria that was razed back in the 1920's in order to place the Empire
State Building. There are several types of hotel rooms from normal
accommodations to luxuy suites. With all of that all rooms come
standard with a mini-bar, work desk area and coffee service. Also for the business traveler, the rooms are equipped with communication capability including internet access, two telephone lines each with speaker phones and in-room safes. Also each of the rooms have incredible bathrooms that include large oversized marble bathtubs. Yet it doesn't end there. Rooms also come with kitchenettes with refrigerator, large closets, and top notch entertainment availalbe on premium television sets. This is just one incredible hotel. Oh, did I forget to mention the most important part of the rooms. Big oversized beds with down comforters. Business travelers will find great accommodations for holding events. The Waldorf Towers makes it paramount to serve the business traveler with grace and elegance that top notch captain's of industry deserve. Guests to events will find not only the grace of old world european charm but the latest in
technology. Venues include direct links to satellite broadcast and video conferencing. All with the service that one would expect at the Waldorf Towers. For more informatoin about Waldorf
Towers Hotel Reservations
check out the accompanying link.

Ascott Mayfair HotelNow let's take our virtual trip across the pond to the merry old land of England. Our hotel of choice to spotlight is the Ascott Mayfair locted at 49 Hill Street. The Ascott Mayfair, aptly situated in the Mayfair section of London, is the quintesential definition of luxury. Before we even can speak about the hotel itself and all of it's grandeur a simple note on all the Ascott Mayfair is located near must be stated. If you were lucky enough to be staying as a guest you'd be mere footsteps away from some of the greatest attractions and entertainment in the world !! Yes I said it ...World. Famous museusms and theater are well within your grasp and should be taken advantage some of which, but are hardly inclusive include the National Gallery, Hyde Park, Bond Street and Piccadilly Circus.
The hotel was finished and opened in the 1920's and the decor and construction were done in an art deco style. The hotel offers several different variations of accommodations, all of which are done so in apartment style suites. The rooms range from simple studios to very large three bedroom lush suites. Each room is finely appointed with the luxury and elegance of past decor, yet just like the Waldorf Towers in New York City is flush with the luxuries of today. These
include rooms with broadband internet access, business centers, 24 hour reception and concierge...Not to mention little luxuries like grocery shopping services, a fitness center, sauna and steam rooms. The ride doesn't stop just in the rooms, in case I had to mention that. The
property is bustling with activities including the Terrace where one can enjoy a quiet breakfast in a room that has a garden view, or a trip to the Club Lounge can take the edge off with any number of high end cocktail mixtures. If you're looking to make Ascott Mayfair Hotel Reservations use this link to get updated information about availability and pricing.

Fort Lauderdale Hotels..A Great Place to Find Fall 2008 Savings..

With all the hoop to do of the summer being over and fall gracing it's
colorful and fanciful smile at us, I think it should be reminded that
there are still plenty of places to catch the rays of summer. Fort
Lauderdale is once such place. With that there are some great options
for all pricing variations that make this such a great place for any
budget.

We start off with our first installment of Fort
Lauderdale Hotels
and all the differences that you can find.
Let's start with the beasts of the East and the top rated hotels for
this city. Actually we have one such choice. The Hyatt
Regency Pier Sixty Six
is our choice of a great 4 Star Rated
Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.  This hotel is located at 2301 17th
Stree Causeway in Fort Lauderdale and looks over a marina. It's very
centrally located and is in promity of the International Swimming Hall
of Fame and the famed Galleria Shopping area. If you're looking for a
little more modest accommodations the Marriot's
Beachplace Towers
fits the bill. Located at 21 South Fort
Lauderdale Boulevard, this hotel is perfect for offering upscale
amenities but not breaking the bank. Being off the water obviously is
proportionate to the pricing in Fort Lauderdale. Yet, don't think for a
second you sacrafice too much in terms of quality. Sure you're not
overlooking a beautiful and scenis marina, but Fort Lauderdale is awash
in upscale scenery. Last is the Avalon
Waterfront Inns
. With this property, located at 521 North
Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard is situated on the beach with scenic
views, but the accommodations are average at best. The rooms are well
appointed and offer the basics. Clean and standard are the expectations.

This is a great time of year to hit the beaches still. Just make sure
that Fort Lauderdale is one of the options you consider.

Follow the Water to Niagara Falls..

The fall is here and great getaways abound to those looking to get away from the traditional vacation spots. Sure there are those of you out there that would love to keep the memories of summer fresh and better yet keep basking in the sun on beaches. To those of you this post is lost on you. There is nothing here to promote what needs no promoting. Miami Beach, Sunny Southern California, Cancun, the Islands, etc, are to easy.

Now not to say that Niagara Falls needs any type of promotion, but in my opinion sometimes a little recognition is the right thing to do. Especially as I keep my eyes and ears open for deals. Once such deal came over my alert system. With that came my entry into providing some information about the great deals for Niagara Falls Hotels. Many are tucked away and offer the quaint grace you'd hope to expect, but there is no doubt that the gawky and tacky facade that Niagara Falls has been somewhat associated with can be overbearing.

Niagara Falls has some great scenes, one of which, unless you're a moron, is visiting the falls it self. Here is information about the falls. Also, in case you want to get a new look at some cool attractions, the area is home to a first class casino hotel property at Seneca Casino

Now to some great selection of hotels to make your visit to Niagara Falls even better. The Quality Inn Niagara Falls is a perfect solid fit to finding accommodations without breaking the bank. The hotel is located at 7708 Niagara Falls Blvd. The hotel offers the basic amenities, is clean and standard, but is a great central location. Visitors staying at the Quality Inn Niagara Falls will find themselves within five miles of the Skylon Tower, three miles of Fantasy Island, 13 miles of Fort Niagara, and just 3 miles away from the famed Niagara Falls. A second great hotel selection can be found at the Seneca Casino. This is truly an upscale experience. The hotel offers room suites, well appointed with upscale amenities all over the place. Not to mention the hotel itself has a full health spa.

This is a great time to visit Niagara Falls and some more information on deals can be found here

A complete excerpt by a happy traveler that found a great deal to Niagara Falls. Check it out.

Hope this information helps. Check back often for more deals and hotel information features.

Getting Away From it All in Colorado..

I think that most people think of Colorado as a perfect place to visit for the ski season. The snow the mountains, etc, etc. Thing is, hiking during this time of year in and around the state of Colorado can provide exhilarating, fun and just what the brain needs in a get away vacation.

The focus of this post will be in pointing you toward great places in and around the city of Denver. Of course part of our job will be to help you find a list of great Denver Hotels That provide the perfect balance of price and service. The biggest thing in considering what to do and where to stay when visiting Denver Colorado is to figure that posh and service at a hotel may not be all that important. Budget should be paramount on the mind in focusing the trip on getting near areas of interest but finding accommodations that are clean, quality and at the right price.

Personally I'd suggest on visiting Pike's Peak as a great option in hiking and experiencing the great outdoors. Visitors have found for decades that Pike's Peak offers breathtaking views and fun that you won't find at a theme or amusement park. It truly is nature at it's best.

Some of the best options that fit this criteria are the Guest House Denver Stapleton and the Budget Host Inn Denver.  Each property is just enough off the beaten path as to not disrupt or disturb a trip focused on getting back to nature, but at the same time is positioned geographically enough to provide a close proximity to things of necessity such as stores, restaurants and other things travelers of the modern era have grown to like.

Sure the outdoors and trips surrounding the enjoyment of the outdoors are fun and great for the soul. There is no reason to deprive yourself of modern conveniences while still getting out and enjoying the great outdoors.

Myrtle Beach Vacations...Just What the Golf Doctor Ordered...

Fall is here..well almost...As far as I'm concerned the day that the school doors open officially, summer ends and fall begins. What's so wonderful about this small piece of landscape on the calendar is that early to mid September still has great weather. The beauty is that all the hustle and bustle and congestion of the summer season doesn't come along.

To honor this beautiful time of year I submit to you, the avid golfer that deals for vacation packages and hotels in Myrtle Beach are shocking. Articles have been coming fast and furious offering deals and packages, especially those that tie in rounds of golf at any number of courses in the area.

I've got a few great hotels to check out that have recently shown some nice discounts and these are quality hotels. First is the Driftwood on the Oceanfront Hotel and fantastic property located right on the beach. The next is the Polynesian Resort. Both properties are top class and are situated near several top golf courses.

Falls Here and Great Deals Abound for a Trip to Beautiful Connecticut..

Just like that September has reared it's head and the fall season is upon us. Sure for kids September is almost entirely synonymous with the end of summer, but for adults September and the season of fall, the beauty of the changing of the leaves can mean a great excuse for a getaway.

Connecticut, like most of the other states of the New England area, are famous for beautiful landscapes of wilderness and woods. Like the beaches of Jersey, these areas of New England become temporary vacation spots for travelers.

Recently, however, news has surfaced that like most other areas of the economy, travel has suffered too. Specifically a recent article about poor travel stats for Connecticut in recent weeks. You can find information about this article at Poor Connecticut Travel

For the savvy traveler slow travel stats and poor travel numbers means potential for great value. Guide to Hotels specifically offers information about Hartford Connecticut Hotels with updated deals on the participating hotels in the inventory. Select quality, spotlight and featured hotels in Hartford are the Hilton Hartford Hotel and the Residence Inn by Marriott Hartford Downtown  Hotel

Deals are definitely available and available right now. So if your interest is to finally make that trek and pilgrimage to see the beauty of a New England Fall, you may never find deals like the ones available today.

A New Blog for Reviewing Hotels..

There is no doubt that the internet is overrun by blogs, sites and other online properties that claim to serve the general public about finding them great deals, information and reviews about hotels and vacation properties. The truth of the matter is much darker. Many sites do a poor job and just regurgitate information from other sources. That, as I'm sure all are aware, serve the general public in the worst of ways.

This blog and the associated web sites goal is to provide information that is fresh, up to date, relevant and helpful. Point blank. No smoke and mirrors, no misdirection, nothing but help.

We look forward to serving the internet community and the travel community specifically in providing a platform to review hotels, get up to date information about specials and try and have a place that is much like an oasis in the desert of garbage that is the travel web site segment.
