There is little doubt that thinking about a vacation outside the country can be a little scary. The thought of traveling to a whole other world, outside the sanctitiy of the United States, especially in this day and age can be a pulse beating event. Yes, just the thought of it and your pulse beating faster is an event. That being said and I digress, one of the biggest fears I hear from would be international travelers is the accommodations. The basic question is, how much do I trust the informatin I'm getting.
Well I'm hear to offer a little bit of hope and also a true uncompromised or biased opnion. There are some great options and places to find information on the internet. Further I have a one recommendation of a hotel in Cancun that may have various packages associated with it. Now to the information.
First and foremost the question of accomodations is important. No one wants to go away live in real life the scenario that plays out in so many movie scripts...Traveling abroad and walking into a dive of a hotel. I'm here to offer this for your consideration.....The Riu Caribe Cancun Hotel. This hotel is an all-inclusive reort offering the best in a "away" from home vacation pacakge. You're going to find some great amenities that go along with your trip here. Things like a lagoon to swim in, bullfighting events and boating excursions. Average price per person over the next two weeks starting December 1st through December 15th 2008, about $270 to $310. Remember this is all inclusive with food and drink. Quite a deal.
Then there was a site that I work with a little with a fun mascot by the name of Travel Ape. You can find the web site at http://www.travelape.com. I saw a Cancun Vacation Deals section with incredible cancun vacation packages. What's more the packages offer extra premiums that are incredible and pricing for accommodations is about 30% of other vacation pacakges of similar value. The only thing is they do not offer transportation. Again, the pricing still is incredible. The deal I saw on that page at TravelApe was for $199 at the Laguna Suites Cancun for 3 Days and 2 Nights for several premiums.
Going further than that it doesn't hurt is using the official Visitors and Convention Bureau of the area. In this instance there exists the Cancun Convention and Vistiors Bureau. This web site has information and links to hotel bookings and Canun Vacation Packages. The prices aren't always great, but it's a safer bet then maybe going through an independent or unknown web site.
Cancun is a paradise on earth. With deals like this popping up, going south of the border down Mexico way, sounds like an outstanding idea.
